Zvishavane, Zimbabwe
Zvishavane is a small mining town in Midlands Province, Zimbabwe. Formerly called Shabani. It's name is derived from shavani, a Ndebele word meaning "finger millet," or "trading together." Surrounded by low hills, it is on direct rail links to Harare and Bulawayo in Zimbabwe and to Maputo in Mozambique.
A notable feature is the asbestos mine close to the town.
