Zadok Morgan
Zadok Morgan (1832–1912)prominent man in West Virginia and descendant of David Morgan who was a famous frontiersman in West Virginia. Zadok lived in Wetzel County, West Virginia. He grew up with the stories of his famous ancestors which included Morgan Morgan, the first white settler in West Virginia, Co. Zackquill Morgan who founded Morgantown and was a personal friend of George Washington and his direct ancestor David Morgan. David was a hero in the Revolutionary War and fought the Indians all his life. Zadok was the son of Elisha Morgan and Sarah Hart. He was a distant cousin of Gen. Daniel Morgan of the Revolutionary War and Daniel Boone. Zadoks wife was Elizabeth Jane Hill.
