Yellapragada Subbarao

Yellapragada Subbarao (Subba Row or Subba Rao) (January 121895-August 1948) born to a very poor family in South India, he remains in the views of many the most notable medical scientist to emerge from India. Under him Benjamin Duggar made his discovery of Aureomycin, in 1945, the world's first tetracycline antibiotic.
