Y Felinheli
Y Felinheli is a small town in Gwynedd , north Wales, lying between Bangor and Caernarfon alongside the Menai Strait.
It originally developed as a port for shipping slate out from the great Dinorwig slate quarry and has the alternative English name, Port Dinorwic.
It now provides a centre for boating and sailing and has a small marina with surrounding holiday accommodation. A recently constructed by-pass has removed much of the traffic that congested the main street for many years.
