Wolfen

The Wolfen is piloted by the Star Wolf team in the Star Fox series. It, too, like the Arwing, undergoes changes in each Star Fox game. It first appeared in the cancelled game, Star Fox 2, on the SNES/Super Famicom. The exterior of the ship makes it appear to be more complex than the Arwing, but does not perform more functions. Star Wolf pilots a Wolfen in a few stages in Star Fox 64. Its final appearance in Star Fox 64 is on Bolse. On the surface of Venom, a new, more powerful ship, the Wolfen II, is flown by Star Wolf.

The Wolfen appears again in Star Fox: Assault, where Star Wolf once again pilots it. Though not a Wolfen II, it is upgraded and is expected to be at least on-par or better than the Arwing.

The Wolfen can be unlocked in Star Fox: Assault after 150 versus matches. It has a larger auto-aim window than the Arwing, and it deals more damage at each laser level and with a charged laser. It also flies faster then the Arwing but it cannot come to a complete stop in mid-air.
