Wladyslaw Taczanowski

Władysław Taczanowski (b. March 1, 1819 in Jabłonna – January 17, 1890 in Warsaw) was a Polish zoologist.

Taczanowski trained in Paris, and was curator of the zoological department of the Warsaw University Museum from 1855 until his death. He took part in an expedition to Algeria with A S Waga (1866–67).

His publications included Birds of Poland (1882) and Ornithology of Peru (1884–86).
