Wirt C. Rowland
Wirt C. Rowland (December 1, 1887–November 30, 1946) was an American architect, born in Clinton, Michigan. He began his architectural career as an office boy for the Detroit firm of Rogers & MacFarlane and then moved on to the prestigious Geroge D. Mason firm. In 1909 he again changed companies, this time joining Albert Kahn. He was involved in the design of some of the classic Albert Kahn projects of the time, notably Hill Auditorium and later the Hatcher Graduate Library, both at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After leaving Albert Kahn, Rowland was a designer for Smith Hinchman & Grylls.
