Whifflet Line, Glasgow

The Whifflet Line is one of the lines within the Strathclyde suburban rail network. It serves only 8 stations, and connects parts of east Glasgow, Bargeddie and Coatbridge to Glasgow city centre. The stations in order from Glasgow Central are Carmyle, Mount Vernon, Baillieston, Bargeddie, Kirkwood and Whifflet.

The route is operated by First ScotRail on behalf of Strathclyde Passenger Transport as part of the larger Strathclyde network.

The line has not yet been electrified and relies on diesel trains.
