Whakapapa River

Whakapapa River

This river trickles off the Whakapapa skifield of Mount Ruapehu, down the western slopes of the mounain through Owhango before finally merging with the Whanganui River just east of Kakahi.

Peter McIntyre had a home over looking the Whakapapa river, and painted several oil painting of the Whakapapa River.
