Whacktus is a band in Southern California specializing in Desert Rock (a mellow, rough form of indie music; or bands that "use a lot of B minor"). Whacktus is headed by Joe Morse and plays shows in unique locations mainly (e.g. Joshua Tree national Park). The name comes from a mix of the words whacky cactus. They have been together since 2001.
