Wet-folded

Technique

Wet folding is an origami technique traditionally performed with a thicker paper than is used in traditional origami. The paper is slightly wet before folding and folded while the paper is still damp. During folding the paper can be moistened with a spray bottle, but it is not good to put excessive moisture into the paper as it will tend to rip. The paper infinitely more malleable in this state and the final product is typically much more fluid and natural looking.
