Western Gardens

The Western (Westleigh) Gardens Estate is a estate of Werribee, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Wyndham. It is a relatively new estate.

Western Gardens is located 21 south-west of Melbourne, it's boundaries are to the north the Princes Freeway and the suburb of Point Cook to the south.

The settlement of the Western Gardens and nearby suburbs (Sanctuary Lakes, Seabrook, etc.) was started in the mid 80's, Western Gardens getting it's name around this time, construction there starting when the sprawling started to move westwards.

Many places and streets in Western Gardens are still under construction, a sign of the area's newness. A notable street is Boardwalk Boulevard, which runs through the suburb.

Many secondary colleges are still under construction in Western Gardens, so some Primary Schools are taking Year 7 and 8 classes as well as Prep – Year 6.
