Wermelandia Regiment
Wermelandia Regiment, or Värmlands regemente, also I 2 or I 22, is a Swedish Army infantry regiment that traces its origins back to the 16th Century. It was disbanded in 2000.

History
The regiment has its origins in the fänikor raised in the 1500s, these units formed the Nericia-Wermelandia Regiment which was split in in 1812 into Wermelandia Regiment and Nericia Regiment. The regiment was given the designation I 22 (22nd Infantry Regiment) after a general order in 1816. It was given its new designation I 2 in 1939. Wermelandia Regiment was garrisoned in Karlstad and later Kristinehamn before being disbanded in 2000.
