The Weather Network

(Redirected from Weather Network)

The Weather Network is a Canadian cable television channel, which provides weather information 24 hours a day.

The channel is similar to the American Weather Channel, but is owned and operated by a Canadian company, Pelmorex.

Their forecast data comes from Environment Canada and their own in-house technology called Pelmorex Forecast Engine or PMX.

Based in Mississauga, Ontario, The Weather Network also operates a French language channel called MétéoMedia.

The web site was launched in 2002.

The network's original name, when it launched in 1988, was WeatherNow.
