Wayne Ferreira

Wayne Ferreira (September 15 1971) is a South African professional tennis player, born in Johannesburg.

Ferreira holds the record of most consecutive Grand Slam appearances: 56 (between 1991 and 2004). Swede Stefan Edberg was the previous record holder (53). His best Grand Slam result came at the Australian Open where he reached the semi finals twice, in 1992 and in 2003.

In his career he has won 15 singles titles and 11 titles in doubles.

He debuted the ATP Tour in 1989 and officially retired in 2004.
