Wang Chien-Ming

This is a Chinese name; the family name is Wang.

Wang Chien-Ming (Chinese: 王建民; pinyin: Wáng Jian-Mín; born March 31, 1980 in Tainan City, Taiwan) is a starting pitcher for the New York Yankees. Wang was called up from the Yankees' AAA affiliate, Columbus Clippers, in 2005.

He is the third major-leaguer from Taiwan, following Chen Chin-Feng, who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2002–04, and Colorado pitcher Tsao Chin-hui.
