Wampa

Wampas are a fictional species of the Star Wars universe that resemble Yetis or a white version of a giant ground sloth, which is now extinct.

Like most species balances (such as super intelligent but weak), the wampas are incapable of acting past its killing instinct. Wampas live on the planet Hoth. In the video game Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, Wampas appear in a canyon as well. Wampas attack with a slash from the side using their massive claws.

Wampas' hands have the same basic shape as a human hand, each finger with one small claw embedded into it. They also have a horn protruding on either side of its head that curve and point forward. The wampas' feet resemble an elephant's: they don't protrude from the thigh and are rather massive sized.

In Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker is captured by a wampa and trapped upside down in a cave. He used the force successfully to get back his lightsaber to cut himself loose and cut the wampa's arm off to escape. The wampa also makes an appearance in the videogame: Jedi Academy.
