Walden O'Dell

(Redirected from Walden W. O'Dell)

Walden "Wally" O'Dell is chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Diebold, (the company making the majority of electronic voting machines for the US. The voting systems of Diebold are closed source and lack a papertrail.

He was an active fund raiser for George W. Bush's re-election campaign. O'Dell supposedly wrote he was committed "to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the President."

Since he appears to control the voting apparatus of many voting systems within the United States of America, many fear that O'Dell had the ability to manipulate the results the Presidential Election of 2004. Since the voting systems of Diebold are closed source and paperless, it is impossible to establish the integrity of the counts.
