Wahine (ship)
- TSS Wahine (1913 – 1951) was an inter-island ferry that ran between Lyttelton and Wellington, New Zealand. It was used as a minelayer in the first world war, and saw active service as a troop ship during World War II. [1]
- TEV Wahine (1966 – 1968) was a New Zealand inter-island ferry which foundered on Barrett Reef at the entrance to Wellington Harbour in a storm on April 10, 1968. Of the 610 passengers and 123 crew on board, 51 people lost their lives. See Wahine disaster.
