Vympel R-27
The Vympel R-27 (NATO reporting name AA-10 'Alamo') is a medium-range air-to-air missile developed by the Soviet Union. It remains in service with the CIS and Russian Air Force.
The R-27 is manufactured in both IR-homing and semi-active radar homing variants, somewhat similar to the French MBDA MICA weapon. It arms the MiG-29 and Sukhoi Su-27, and some late-model MiG-23MLD aircraft were also adopted to carry it.
