Vişeul de Sus (Hungarian: Felsővisó, German: Oberwischau) is a town in Maramureş county, Romania, located at the confluence of the Vişeu river and Vaser. It has an area of 443 km².

Population

The population is about 18,444. The city is in a hilly area, and most of the people live in the valleys:

• Valea Vaserului (800 inhabitants)
• Valea Peştilor (500 inhabitants)
• Valea Scradei (700 inhabitants)

• Rădeasa (900 inhabitants)
