Vincent Candela

Vincent Candela (born October 24, 1973 in Bédarieux) is a French football (soccer) left back. With the French national team, Candela won World Cup 1998.

On the club level, Candela played for Toulouse (1992-1995), Guingamp (1995-1997), A.S. Roma (1996-2005), and Bolton Wanderers (2005-). He won one scudetto with Roma.

For France, Candela was capped 40 times, scoring five goals, his playing time often limited by Bixente Lizarazu, but he did play in a group match during the 1998 triumph. Although he didn't get off the bench, Candela did receive a winner's medal at Euro 2000. He also played at the 1996 Olympic Games and the 2002 World Cup.
