Vin Weber

John Vincent Weber, a Congressman from Minnesota; born in Slayton, Murray County, Minnesota, July 24, 1952; attended the public schools; attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, 1970–1974; copublisher, Murray County newspaper; president, Weber Publishing Co.; press secretary to Representative Tom Hagedorn, 1974–1975; senior aide to Senator Rudy Boschwitz, 1977–1980; delegate, Minnesota State Republican conventions, 1972, 1978; elected as a Republican to the Ninety-seventh and to the five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1981-January 3, 1993); was not a candidate for renomination in 1992 to the One Hundred Third Congress; is a resident of St. Cloud, Minnesota.

He is a member of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) and was one of the signers of the January 26, 1998, PNAC Letter sent to President William Jefferson Clinton.
