Veruca (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

Veruca was a fictional character in the U.S. television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The character appeared in three episodes of season four and was played by Paige Moss.

Veruca was a seductive lead singer in a band called "Shy". She met Oz through the music scene. Oz was somewhat infatuated with her, much to the chagrin of his then-girlfriend, Willow. During one of Oz's wolf phases, he escaped from his cage and mated with another werewolf--who was, in reality, Veruca. Veruca then tried to convince Oz to embrace his werewolf persona rather than contain it within his otherwise stoic, civilized identity. The affair was discovered by Willow, who was so upset that she tried to use magic on them. Veruca put Willow's life in danger and Oz (as a werewolf) killed her. After that, Oz broke up with Willow and left Sunnydale to embark on a journey to find a cure for his condition. He returns in later episodes.
