Vasily Alexeev

Vasily Alexeev (born January 27, 1942) is a former weightlifter from the Soviet Union whose career spanned the 1960s and 1970s. He was noted for his performances in the Olympic Games in the super-heavyweight class. Alexeev set 80 world records over the course of his career, and held the world championship title for eight years (1970–77).
