Didi (football player)

Valdir Pereira or Didi (October 8, 1929-May 12, 2001) was a Brazilian midfield football player.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, he was famous for his "falling leaf" free kicks. He played in three World Cups: in 1954, and winning in 1958 and 1962. Didi also coached a Peru team in the 1970 World Cup that included stars like Cubillas and Chapitaz.
