Uwe Rösler

(Redirected from Uwe Rosler)

Uwe Rösler (born November 15, 1968) is a German footballer. He has played for several clubs, most notably Manchester City, where he was the leading goalscorer for three consecutive seasons from 1995-97, and Kaiserslauten, where he played in the UEFA Champions League. Rösler signed with Norwegian club Lillestrøm S.K. in the summer of 2002, and became the leading goal-scorer for the club.

After only the first match of the season in 2003, Rösler was diagnosed with cancer. And so he had to put an end to his playing career. Luckly with the support from his wife Cecilie, family and friends and his extreme fiting-spirit Uwe Rösler won the most important match of his life. And has now recovered fully from the disease!

Rösler is now the manager of Lillestrøm S.K. in the Norwegian Premier League.
