Ursa Major moving group

The Ursa Major moving group is the closest moving group to Earth, whose core is located roughly 80 light years away. The moving group consists of a core of 14 stars, of which 5 compose the 7-star Big Dipper asterism (and hence form part of the Ursa Major constellation pattern). All but one of the core stars lie within the area of the Ursa Major. The stream of stars of this moving group lie across the sky, from Cepheus to Triangulum Australe.
