Urawa, Saitama

Urawa-ku (浦和区) is a ward of Saitama, Saitama, Japan, where the city hall and prefectural government are located.

Current Urawa-ku, Midori-ku, Minami-ku and Sakura-ku consisted a disticnct city (浦和市; -shi) and the capital of Saitama Prefecture until its merger with Omiya and Yono on May 1, 2001 to create the city of Saitama.
