 Uraeotyphlus

Uraeotyphlidae is the family of Indian caecilians. They are only found in Western Ghats in India.

Very little is known about the Uraeotyphlidae. They resemble the Ichthyophiidae, the main difference are the location of the mouth and the tentacles. All the species are rather small with a maximum length of 300 mm., and have dark gray or brown color.
