Unterseeboot 262 (U-262) was a Type VIIC submarine of the Kriegsmarine.

Laid down on 29 May, 1941 at Bremer Vulkan, Bremen-Vegesack, Commissioned on 15 Apr, 1942 Kptlt. Günther Schiebusch

10 patrols in its career, U-262 sunk 4 ships for a total of 13.935 tons; On September 8, 1943, about 150 miles off Cape Finisterre, U-760 was sailing on the surface alongside U-262 when they were attacked by Allied aircraft.U262 was Bombed at Gotenhafen in December 1944. Stricken at Kiel on 2 April, 1945. Broken up in 1947.
