Universitario de Deportes

Universitario de Deportes is a Peruvian soccer club based in Lima, referred to as Universitario or just "La U" (The U) by Peruvian football fans and local supporters. It is one of the two most important Football clubs in Peru along with classic rivals Alianza Lima. It was founded in 1924.

They won the Peruvian football league (Campeonato descentralizado) in:

1934, 1939, 1941, 1945, 1946, 1949, 1959, 1960, 1964, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1971, 1974, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1998, 1999 and 2000.

It is the Peruvian club with more national championships, 24.
