the insane gangster crips are a ruthless street gang. they started in the mid 90's in chicago. by then, folk nation was already in affect, as well as people nation. a group of crips from the l.a area were in chicago and got word of the folk nation. they liked how they got money to gether and opperated and wanted to be down with this way of life. there was already a gang in folk nation called insane gangster dicsiple. 974. so they entered 973 in the folk nation, 3 meaning crip. and thats where the igc's origionated.

this street gang is well known in the united states in places such as kentucky and texas. they basically share the same knowledge as other crips, but just slightyly different. for ex. crips in l.a bang to the left. well scince igc's are under folk nation, they bang right, because folks bang right. and most crips in l.a are under king tookie or hoover. the igc's are under king david, and are under the 6 point star. but other than that, their knowledge is the same as any other crip. when igc's and igd's join togetheer, they form the 8 ball, or 8 point star.
