United Nations Association UK
The United Nations Association UK (UNA-UK) (or United Nations Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) is a non-governmental organisation based in London, England. It campaigns, educates and fundraises to help turn the ideals of the United Nations into reality. While UNA-UK supports, and has Class 1 Consultative Status with, the UN, it sees itself as a commentator on UN affairs, and has made criticisms of the body in the past.
UNA-UK is supported by over 180 local UNA branches in the UK, and is itself a member of the World Federation of United Nations Associations.
Through the United Nations Youth and Student Association of the United Kingdom (UNYSA-UK), it also recruits younger volunteers, who take part in campaigning on world issues and lobbying the UK government.
