In Polynesian mythology, Ua ("rain") is the god of rain and father of Hau Marangi.

Ua caused the Great Flood. Papa, the earth goddess, was entirely underwater. Finally, some of her beautiful parts came above the waves and these became the islands of Polynesia.

Alternative: Uawhatu ("hail"), Uanui ("heavy rain"), Ua Nganga ("rainstorm"), Ua-Roa ("long rain")
