UBB.threads

UBB.threads (formerly WWWThreads) is an Internet forum software package written by Rick Baker. Written with PHP using a MySQL database backend, it is comparable to other forum software such as phpBB and vBulletin.

WWWThreads was originally written in Perl, then a PHP version was made in 2000. In 2001, WWWThreads was acquired by Infopop Corporation, and was renamed UBB.threads. The Perl version was dumped, and UBB.threads 6.0 was released in the spring of 2002. The current version is 6.5.1.1.

End of life

Infopop has recently announced that the 6.5 series will be the last versions of UBB.threads. In the spring of 2005, Infopop has a new product planned that is yet to be named. The new product will replace UBB.threads as well as UBB.classic, and will use PHP/MySQL.
