Types of School in Malaysia

There are 3 types of schools in Malaysia:

• National Schools (Sekolah Kebangsaan, acronym SK is used for primary schools, while Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan, acronym SMK is used for secondary schools (high schools)).

• National Type Schools (Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan, acronym SJK is used for primary schools, while Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan, acronym SMJK is used for secondary schools (high schools)).

• Private Schools which are divided into primary and secondary.
