Tygodnik Powszechny, meaning Universal Weekly, is a Roman Catholic weekly newspaper, published in Kraków, Poland. It provided a free voice for Catholics during the Communist era and today is considered the voice of liberal Catholics in Poland. Pope John Paul II was a regular contributor in earlier years.
