Tydfil

Tydfil (Tudful), was a Welsh woman Saint, patron of Merthyr Tydfil (Mid Glamorgan), where she was buried. Legend has it that she was one of the daughters of Brychan, and was assassinated and buried here in 480. She is said to have met her death at the hands of Pagans, probably British, but later called Saxons. Her feast day is August 23.
