Triumph Films

Triumph Films (aka: Triumph Releasing Corporation) is a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment geared towards low-budget and direct-to-video film production and distribution. It was originally founded in 1982 as a joint venture between Columbia Pictures and the French company Gaumont to distribute foreign films in the US. In 1989, Triumph adopted its art-house sister company, Epic Productions Inc. (Not to be confused with Epic Records Inc.) Triumph was relaunched in 2004 as marketing and acquisitions unit and will have a "particular emphasis on genre films" (along with TriStar Pictures and Destination Films).

Notable films include: To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, The Ambulance, The Golden Laws, Steamboy and SuperBabies: Baby Geniuses 2.
