Treasure Coast
Floridas Treasure Coast stretches from Port St. Lucie in the south through Vero Beach in the north, and covers St. Lucie County and Indian River County. The Treasure Coast name refers to a number of ships, including those of the Spanish treasure fleet, that are believed to have sunk off the coast during the 17th and 18th centuries. Valuable artifacts from these ships are still being recovered today, both by amateur and professional treasure-hunters.
