Tracy Stallard
Tracy Stallard (born August 31, 1937) was a Major League Baseball pitcher from 1960-1966. He played with the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals. He is best remembered for giving up New York Yankees slugger Roger Maris' 61st home run in 1961.
That puts him on a short list of pitchers yielding record-breaking home runs, including:
- 1921 – Bill Bayne, St. Louis Browns – Babe Ruth's 55th of the year
- 1927 – Tom Zachary, Washington Nats/Senators – Babe Ruth's 60th of the year
- 1998 – Steve Trachsel, Chicago Cubs – Mark McGwire's 62nd of the year
- 2001 – Chan Ho Park, Los Angeles Dodgers – Barry Bonds' 71st of the year
