Torre del Greco
Torre del Greco is a town and comune (township) of the Province of Naples in the Italian region of Campania, 40°48N 14°22E, with a population of 89,700 according to the 2003 census. It is rich in tradition, art, music, story, and traditional food. The people speak a particular slang dialect called Torrese, and are sometimes called Corallini because of the plentiful coral in the nearby sea. Arabic, Greek, and Spanish traditions influenced the city's culture.
Among the food of Torre del Greco are pizza, pasta, fish stew, ice cream, and a traditional staple of Torre del Greco (name??) made of meat, fish, and vegetables. Notable wines are Lacrima Cristi and Greco di Tufo.
