Toronto Port Authority
Toronto Port Authority is responsible for all activities in the port of Toronto. Established in June 1999, it replaced the Toronto Harbour Commission (established under the The Toronto Harbour Commissioners' Act, 1911 and funded by the City). Unlike the THC, which involved the City of Toronto, the Federal government and the province, the TPA is a federal agency and part of the national port system. The TPA is governed by the federal Canada Marine Act and a seven-member Board of Directors.
The TPA manages:
- Toronto City Centre Airport
- Toronto Terminal Services – Marine Terminal 51 and 52
- Outter Harbour Marinas at Tommy Thompson Park
- Cruise Ship docks
