TFTR
(Redirected from Tokomak Fusion Test Reactor)
The Tokomac Fusion Test Reactor (TFTR) was an experimental fusion test reactor built at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (in Princeton, New Jersey) circa 1980. Following on the PDX (Poloidal Diverter Experiment) and PLT (Princeton Large Torus) devices, it was hoped that TFTR would finally achieve fusion energy break-even. TFTR operated from 1982 to 1997.
