Todesfaust

Todesfaust is a generally Symphonic Black Metal band from Philadelphia, USA. Officially started in late 2003/early 2004, Todesfaust was comprised of four members, Azaroth (Synths, Guitars), Murezor (Vocals), Roanoz (Drums), and Skye (Bass). However Skye removed himself because of his weekly excursions to New York and therefore, Murezor took over on bass. The band was named by Murezor (German) and is German for "Fist of Death." Murezors heritage, Azaroth's heritage (Polish, Irish, Armenian), and Roanoz's heritage (French, English-a.k.a. Canadian), allow for the band to get away with many different styles of music. The songs focus on quintessential black metal themes (medeival, anit-christian, etc.) In order to make up for the "average" guitar playing, split time signatures, powerful and epic synths, and lightning fast percussion take the music to whole new levels which prove that Todesfaust is not the average run-of-the-mill black metal band. The main musical influences for the band are Dimmu Borgir, Old Man's Child, Mithotyn, Summoning, Mayhem, Children of Bodom) etc....
