Maura Tierney

Maura Therese Tierney Morrissette (born February 3, 1965) is an American film and television actress, most recently known for her role on NBC's drama ER.

She was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and studied drama at New York University and Circle-in-the-Square Theatre School. She lives in Los Angeles and New York together with her husband, Billy Morrissette, an actor-turned-director, and her pug, named Rose Kennedy. Maura, the daugher of Pat and Joe Tierney, a prominent former Boston politician, doesn't have any children.

Maura Tierney also won the second season tournament of Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown against Lauren Graham, her former NewsRadio colleague. The show is hosted by Dave Foley, who also starred with Maura in NewsRadio.
