Daniel Thwaites is a brewery based in Blackburn, Lancashire. Founded in 1807, the firm still operates from its original town centre site. A variety of cask ales, smooth beers, lagers and ciders are produced in Blackburn or imported from Europe by Thwaites. A particularly succesful brew is Thwaites Dark Mild, one of only two ales ever to win the Champion Beer of Britain twice.
