Timothy B. Schmit, the bass guitar player for The Eagles, is famous for the solo style bass. His style influenced many other bassists, including Billy Sheehan.
He is a highly rated vocalist, lending his voice for some of the Eagles' tracks, including Love Will Keep Us Alive and I Can't Tell You Why.
