They're Tearing Down Tim Riley's Bar

They're Tearing Down Tim Riley's Bar is an episode of the anthology television series Night Gallery written by series host and creator Rod Serling. It is about a plastics salesman, played by William Windom, whose neglect by his corporate seniors and gradually overwhelming sense of nostalgia lead him to confuse his wishes of the past with reality. The episode was first broadcast on January 20, 1971, and subsequently nominated for an Emmy Award as the Outstanding Single Program broadcast on U.S. television that season. The play was one of three Serling wrote dealing with the pressures of corporate executives, the others being the 1955 Kraft Television Theater production Patterns and the 1959 Twilight Zone episode "Walking Distance". Also appearing in the episode were Bert Convy, John Randolph and Diane Baker.
